Menu Calories: Delayed Until May 2018

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting calorie counts on restaurant menus, you’ll have to wait some more. Just before May 5, 2017, the date that mandatory menu calorie labeling was to go into effect, the FDA announced that it is delaying the calorie-labeling deadline by a full year. The regulation affects chain restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores and movie theaters with at least 20 locations.
