Tufts Health & Nutrition Letter
The goal of the Tufts Health & Nutrition Letter, a publication of Belvoir Media and the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, is to provide the consumer with honest, reliable, scientifically authoritative health and nutrition advice that not only can be trusted but can have a direct and often immediate effect on their health. The content of our newsletter is based substantially from the research and expertise of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
This mission is fulfilled by bringing together experts from the areas of clinical nutrition, public policy, behavioral science, humanitarian assistance, and biomedicine. Faculty at the School include biomedical scientists, economists, nutritionists, epidemiologists, physicians, political scientists and psychologists focusing on a myriad of issues with the common thread of nutrition and its role in understanding and fostering the growth and development of human populations.
Programs of study draw upon the wealth of resources at the university. Tufts is classified as a Research I University and ranked among the top 30 universities and colleges in America. Interdisciplinary programs involve faculty and scientists at all of the other seven schools at Tufts, including specialty concentrations in international food and nutrition; nutrition communications; agriculture, food and environment; humanitarian assistance; and clinical nutrition, health promotion and disease prevention.
